PDS Message

Kudos and fantastic job to all (PDS Member). I am truly glad and happy to each and every single one of you. Personally I felt that 2 months of hardwork was worth paid off and 2 months of sweat, blood and tears is a worth to be remembered.

I truly appreciate all of your contributions, commitments and dedication to the unit. All of you are willing to sacrifice all of your Mondays and Wednesdays during the holiday period to put up a fabulous show, not just the to unit but also to the freshmen of Yusof Ishak Secondary School and along side with their parents in CCA Recruitment Day 2010.

We gone through tough times together, we gone through hard times together and we gone through pain together and also all the suffer together. Without a thought of it you all actually made it. You made it through all of those without actually thinking about it. You made it through is because you believe in yourself that you won't give up. You believe in yourself that you are more than just strong. You believes in yourself that you want to be better. Therefore, I must say congratulations to all, you had made it through and I am really and honestly proud of each and every single one of you. There is a saying "tough times won't last but tough people do!" and in fact we did proved this claim more than just true because you all are here and you all are still standing tall and strong.

You had learnt alot within two months. You not only learn about PDS but two months, you learn about each other. You learnt to trust and you learnt to believe and you learnt to support and to preserver and not giving up, you learnt to be there for each other, motivating and cheering on that "YOU CAN DO IT!", two months was not just about building a squad or a team. Instead it turns into a much greater heights, two months turns out to be like a family. Regardless of race, language, religion, age or gender, I saw a PDS family. All of you worked as one and all of you as one for all and all for one. Without a thoughts actually you do and I am more than just proud of that.

I hope the legacy of PDS in YISS will not stop here. I hope this legacy will carry on and move even further to greater heights and in hopes to see new freshmen and new leaders rising up to guide the way to excel. Lastly, do always remember - not all people can do what you can do and that is why you are in PDS - the best there was, the best there is and the best there will ever will be. Thanks to all for you commitment and effort. I truly appreciate it lots and moments will never be forgotten.

Regards,
C/LTA KHALIL

Happy New Year to Everyone and Anyone!
2009 will hold many memories for Yusof Ishak NCC Unit.
and yes, everyone have their best of interest.
from different kinds of trainings to school camps and the Part A Camp Feast to the expedition for the part C UG Expidition to the Night Cycling at East Coast Park to the 1 Cadet Officer who pass out this year and many many more.
but that's 2009.

for 2010,it will be a very interesting year and everything will be new.
Cadets will experience the New NCC Syllabus which is going to be exciting.
and that is for the 'new' part.
the interesting part will be the most interesting ever.
There will be alot of fun activities for the cadets and the upcoming specialists.

with fun activities , comes solid standard.
when it is time for fun , everyone must have fun.
when it is time for standard, everything and every cadets must be super solid standard.
and for the upcoming specialist,Part C, everyone is depending on you for the year 2010
to the Part Cs who is reading this,
when i say everyone is depending on you,i don't want you to succumb to pressure.
i don't want you to give up.
i want you to be exemplary role models to your younger cadets.
i want all of you to be the Kilat-est of all the rest.
Everyone have faith in your abilities.
and lastly,to the Upcoming leaders of NCC , just have a little faith in your abilities.

and of course the Part D who has contributed for the unit.
they have 4 months left before they ROD.
4 months to help everyone (Part A,Part B & Part C) to settle to the unit.
4 months to contribute to the unit to your fullest.
but that does not end.
once you graduate, some of you are still willingly to contribute to the unit.
some of you will want to be cadet officers while others want to be 'just helping out'.

because in year 2010, there is hope to our 1st generation of NCC ASSOCIATE Member in the Unit that is MSG Firdaus and we hope that he'll succeed.

and for the this blog.
we have a new adminstrator as well as the Information Manager. They are the people that will keep update of this blog and keep you people inform of the latest events coming up and also the necessary needs for other preparation such as camps and courses. This unit blog is open to both units, the boys and the girls and we believe, we always have an equal share. We really look forward towards your contirbution and support to make this unit more happening and exciting moment that will never be forgotten in the 4 years of your time in YISS.

and once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
